La Jolla

In a wonderful location with direct access to the beach,  Villa La Jolla is a modern, comfortable house with lovely views of the sea and along the coast.  It is very close to La Leopolda; although independent and private, they can be rented together.  It has recently been completely refurbished and now offers five good bedrooms with air conditioning throughout, a private pool with optional heating, wireless internet, a gym, a sauna, a Turkish bath, and a home cinema.  The popular area of Santa Eulalia with bars and restaurants is very close (easy walking distance) but the villa is generally quiet as it is up a steep slope from the beach.

There is an additional annex available at a further cost to sleep 4.

Accommodation

Is on two floors: the entrance is to the upper floor, and the lower floor leads out to the pool and terraces.

The sitting room seats 12 on modern and comfortable light-colored furniture, leading out to a large terrace with fantastic views of the sea and coast.  There is a separate home cinema room with DVD and surround sound.

The kitchen is new and modern, open plan with a large breakfast bar and granite worktops.  It is excellently equipped with an electric cooker, hob, microwave, an American fridge/freezer, toaster, dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer.  The dining area with a large table and 10 chairs are adjacent.  There is a second simpler kitchen on the pool level.

There are 2 double rooms and 3 twins on the ground floor (pool level), all with bathroom en-suite, as follows:

• Bedroom 1 has a double bed, balcony with sea views, and en-suite bathroom with bath and shower.
• Bedroom 2 has twin beds and an en-suite bathroom with a bath.
• Bedroom 3 has a king-size double bed and accesses the pool and garden.  It has an en-suite bathroom with a bath.
• Bedroom 4 has twin beds and opens onto the garden and pool, en-suite bathroom with bath
• Bedroom 5 has twin beds and opens onto the garden and pool, en-suite bathroom with bath

The gym room has a cycle machine, treadmill, sauna, and Turkish bath (hammam).

Outdoors are terraces from which to enjoy the spectacular views.  On the living room level are a wide terrace and a separate dining table with a built-in charcoal barbecue.  The pool is small at about 5m x 3m approx and kidney-shaped with a ladder for access and can be heated if required. There is also a jacuzzi.  The garden has a lawn, flowers, and shrubs, and a steep path leads down to the beach.  Due to the layout of the garden, small children should be supervised at all times in the outdoor areas. Whilst the garden is not large, the superb location and views make up for that.  The hot water system is solar.  There is an alarm and an electric gate
